Job Summary/Purpose
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the development, management, and coordination of enterprise-wide security policies and standards. Interns will collaborate with all lines of business to draft policies and standards, monitor compliance performance, raise employee awareness, manage security risks, protect critical infrastructure and assets, and perform security data analytics leading to the creation of relevant dashboards and reports.
This internship will conclude with a report and presentation to senior management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a problem-solver, and eager to advance their career by being part of a high-performing team and gaining real-world work experience. This is a hybrid position.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Working in a team environment to assist in day-to-day activities including but not limited to:
- Assist in drafting new or revised policies and/or standards with business experts
 - Help develop and distribute communication and training materials on security policies and/or standards
 - Assist in assessments evaluating the effectiveness of security policy implementations within business units
 - Work with Internal Audit and regulators to stay updated on new laws and regulatory changes that may impact policies and programs
 - Help develop Security Performance Metrics and perform data analysis
 - Competently interface with other groups and business units
 
Desired Qualifications
- Self-driven, self-motivated
 - Knowledge of industry and compliance security frameworks
 - Basic knowledge of cybersecurity
 - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
 - Demonstration of knowledge via cybersecurity related internships, classes or projects
 
Minimum Education required of the position:
- Pursing undergraduate or master’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Cyber Security, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar technical field.
 - Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale)
