Position Summary / Purpose

Entergy has set aggressive aspirations in the Path to Premier transformation journey that requires a mindset shift of never being satisfied with the status quo and constantly having our eye on the next level of performance for our customers, employees, communities and owners. This role will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to build and execute the strategic focus, engagement model, and prioritization associated with the performance and transformation program at Entergy. This position’s primary purpose is to support business units and individual teams with their efforts to find efficiencies, solve problems, reduce complexities, provide execution support of projects and initiatives, improve key performance metrics, and ultimately foster a continuous improvement culture. Additionally, this position will have overall governance of the corrective action, human and organizational performance, center of excellence, and performance and transformation programs.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor a department execution strategy which supports and aligns to the enterprise Path to Premier strategy.
  • Partner and build alignment with operational leaders to identify areas of transformational improvement and set prioritization for identified initiatives.
  • Ensure team skill can meet the needs of the organization, the industry best practice techniques are utilized, and a highly proficient team is maintained.
  • Maintain external reference on frameworks and methods to continuously improve the performance and transformation department’s programs and processes.
  • Provide oversight to ensure programs and processes are implemented consistently across all business units and extrapolate successes to broader populations.
  • Provide the senior leaders with an ongoing perspective of performance compared to the industry to set benchmark standards that will transform Entergy.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing training and coaching to employees at all levels.
  • Develop, measure and communicate results and metrics to senior leadership.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies (Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification preferred). 
  • Experience establishing a new team, support function, or enterprise initiative is desired.

 

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred. 
  • 15 years professional experience with at least 10 years of experience in continuous improvement, process improvement, or operational excellence roles, and 10 years leadership experience.
