Position Summary / Purpose

The Vice President of Performance & Transformation will play a pivotal role in accelerating this journey, inspiring teams to push boundaries, embrace innovation, and harness emerging technologies, including advanced AI tools, to unlock new levels of operational excellence.

 

This role partners closely with senior leaders and critical stakeholders to shape the strategic focus, engagement model, and enterprise-wide prioritization of transformation initiatives. The mission is clear: fuel urgency, spark innovation, simplify complexity, and champion a culture where continuous improvement is not merely encouraged—but expected.

 

This leader will drive governance of corrective action, human and organizational performance, centers of excellence, and enterprise transformation programs, ensuring each supports a future-focused, high‑performance culture.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Rapidly develop and monitor a dynamic execution strategy aligned with Entergy’s Path to Premier, cultivating a sense of urgency and forward momentum.
  • Partner with operational leaders to uncover transformational opportunities, prioritize high‑value initiatives, and accelerate the deployment of innovative solutions.
  • Build and maintain a high‑performing team with advanced skills in improvement methodologies, data-driven decision making, and cutting‑edge AI and automation tools.
  • Continuously scan the external market for emerging frameworks, technologies, and methods that can elevate Entergy’s capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Ensure consistent execution of transformational programs across all business units, scaling successes rapidly and reducing barriers to adoption.
  • Provide senior leaders with clear insights on performance relative to industry benchmarks, empowering bold decisions and future-forward standard setting.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement through training, coaching, experimentation, and innovation.
  • Develop, measure, and communicate results and success metrics with clarity, transparency, and an orientation toward action.

 

Minimum Requirements 

Minimum education required of the position 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA preferred. 

 

Minimum experience required of the position 

  • 15+ years of professional experience, including 10+ years in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or transformation leadership roles, and 10+ years of leading high-performing teams.
