Job Title: Storekeeper 1st Year-Plant Storekeeper

Work Place Flexibility: Onsite

*Note: This position will be filled as a Storekeeper 1st Year, Storekeeper O/1, Storekeeper O/2, or Plant Storekeeper based up on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. *

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive and inspect deliveries/ shipments
  • Pull and prepare materials and or equipment for shipment as per DOT requirements
  • Order and issue materials and supplies as needed to support operations and maintenance
  • Organize/maintain records of all transactions as per SOX requirements
  • Perform data input into material management systems (/Passport/ Indus)
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts, reconcile inventory, stock material
  • Forklift and or crane operations
  • Maintain and use CPC for vendor stocking (following all CPC policies and related to this task)
  • Work with Senior/Planner Scheduler to secure parts for work orders and schedules
  • Research material questions and coordinate resolution of problems.
  • Identify, inspect, prepare, and process materials for salvage or disposal.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have current motor vehicle operator’s license in good standing
  • Must have computer skills and knowledge working in programs such as Passport, Work Management
  • Be willing to attend and take part in safety meetings
  • Be neat, clean, and orderly in work and person
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., operate forklifts, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Should be able to perform at high level without detailed supervision
  • Ability to organize and establish priorities and work under pressure
  • Willing to work extended hours during emergency conditions
  • Available for callouts

Minimum education required of the position

  •     Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
  •     Preferred:
    • Associates Degree

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Prior storeroom/parts management or similar experience required.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Ability to learn the nomenclature of standard electric utility material.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software. 
  • Preferred:
    • Indus Asset Suite experience


Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

  • Preferred
    • Forklift certification
