                                                                                                  Position will be filled as Drafter III- Sr depending on experience of applicant.


Perform various drafting assignments on all disciplines of engineering drawings by working with MicroStation/AutoCAD and raster programs. Monitor due dates to assure drawings are updated per procedurally required timeframes. 

•Drafting of mechanical systems, components and other engineering (civil, electrical and instrumentation) drawings including: 

  • P&IDs 

  • Functional Diagrams 

  • Schematics 

  • Detailed Component Drawings (pumps, valves, heat exchangers) 

  • Logic 

  • Schematics 

  • Digital I/O 

  • Interconnecting Wiring Diagrams 

•Creating sketches in a timely manner for emergent plant issues.  

•Checking and approving drawing revisions for accuracy. 
•Receiving direction from Designers and Engineers.  

•Overseeing work performed by vendors. 
•Supporting MicroStation, AutoCAD, and raster products. 
•Supporting computer updates and plot/scan equipment. 
•Supporting engineers in creating markups for drawing changes. 
•Maintaining cad file database. 
•Monitoring drawing database to assure drawings are updated per required due dates. 

•Nuclear industry drafting experience beneficial. 


High school diploma or equivalent.  Prefer 2-year technical degree or certification in Computer Aided Drafting. 


Minimum experience required of the position 
Previous drafting experience (mechanical, civil or electrical/I&C).  Proficient CAD skills while applying basic drafting techniques and concepts. 


Drafter III (6-8 years experience or 2-year technical certification with 4 years working experience) 

Drafter Sr (8+ years experience or 2-year technical certification with 6 years working experience) 


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position 
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills. Has the ability to work with other personnel, departments, and organizations as part of a team. Computer proficiency; experience using technology. 


Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
