*This position may be filled as an Engineer II, III, Senior or Senior Lead based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Experience level for non-degreed candidates will be similar to above for Tech Spec II - Tech Spec Senior Lead.*
Job Summary/Purpose:
ASME Section XI Inservice Inspection Program Engineer who will be responsible for implementing and supporting the Entergy fleet Inservice Inspection Program Owner. The Engineer will have overall responsibility of the Site Inservice Inspection Program implementation and interface with the operating Entergy nuclear plants to ensure the safe and reliable operation of nuclear components.
Job Duties
- Ensures code program engineering work is performed and implemented consistent with defined codes and standards. Code knowledge and experience in ASME Section XI programs is preferred.
- Interface with other Entergy sites and NDE groups to implement best practices in a standardized approach and ensure all activities are performed within regulatory and procedural guidelines.
- Produces quality engineering products in support of Inservice Inspection implementation. Designs and maintains conformance with station license, codes and standards.
- Maintains code design bases of the plant. Develops, plans and coordinates or implements special projects, corrective action plans, and improvement programs to address plant problems or regulatory sensitive issues.
- Ensures fleet lessons are learned and good practices are implemented.
- Controls engineering costs through the optimization of resources and tracking expenditures within budget parameters. Must be able and willing to complete 10CFR50.59 qualification.
- Interface with government regulator as needed to ensure Inservice Inspection program is implemented in accordance with regulatory guidelines regarding the health and safety of the public.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering curriculum or graduate of an accredited engineering technology curriculum of accepted standing or equivalent work experience.
If not a graduate of the aforementioned nature (B.S. degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering curriculum or graduate of an accredited engineering technology curriculum of accepted standing), a minimum of 6 years engineering experience indicative of growth in engineering competency and achievement required.
Minimum experience required of the position
Engineer II: 2+ years of experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level.
Engineer III: 4+ years of experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level.
Engineer Sr: 6+ years of experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level.
Engineer Sr. Lead: 10+ years of experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Knowledgeable in code program requirements for nuclear power plants.
- Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.
- Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft desktop software.
- Knowledgeable of probabilistic risk analysis methods.
- Skilled at system analysis.
