JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Responsible to Manage all Station Projects, Maintenance Support activities, Reactor Services, Turbine Services, Dry Fuel Storage activities and NDE Inspection Services. The management of these activities will entail leadership of Entergy and a variety of different companies contract personnel. This department is also responsible for the contract management with all interfacing contractors.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all phases of station projects <$15M including scoping, planning and execution and closeout.
  • Interface with the Corporate VP, Major fleet projects to support any project work owned by that organization at your station which are >$15M.
  • Control project costs through maximization of staff productivity, review of union contracts and tracking expenditures within the budget parameters established. Routinely review plant facilities where all responsibilities are occurring in the field.
  • Negotiate with vendors to optimize the implementation of Fleet Alliance and GSA contracts. Responsible for executing the terms and conditions of all fleet alliance and GSA contracts at the site under your control. This will require 'Expert' knowledge of these contracts.
  • Responsible for the oversight of all Reactor Services, Turbine Services, Dry Fuel Storage, NDE Inspection Services, and Maintenance Support activities including vendor performance.
  • Ensure all department responsible activities are performed within the guidelines of station and fleet procedures. Direct interface with Corporate Functional Area Managers (CFAMS) in all responsible areas to ensure alignment with fleet standards is maintained at the site and to provide valuable feedback on vendor performance. Responsible for the Management, Oversight, Development and Continuous Evaluation of all department direct reports. This includes Assessment and Coaching related to their leadership skills.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
Typically requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position
10+ years of Project Management experience that should include management of large contracts and supervision/ leadership of supplemental personnel (Contractors)
