This position provides the detail analysis and financial compilations necessary for project evaluation, project authorization and project management.


Under the direction of the Superintendent, this position is responsible for financial analysis including detailed project cost estimation, detail budget development, monitoring of project expenditures and reporting of detailed estimates and project budgets for ANO site projects, including but not limited to Nuclear sustainability projects (NSP), Strategic projects, Site betterment projects, and all Outage related projects as assigned. Position scope includes developing the cost tracking system for the project;  Maintains, analyzes and reports on budgets, change orders, expenditures, commitments, work  performance, cost variances and estimates; Converts project estimates to control budgets in accordance with the applicable code of accounts and work breakdown structure; Analyzes cost data, physical progress data and schedule data in order to predict the prospective financial performance of the project; preparation of monthly expenditure budgets; and  assesses project risk and formulates mitigating contingency values, as needed.  Close coordination is required with Superintendents, project managers, contract managers, supply chain, financial business partners and accounting to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project and/or department expenses.  This position will also assist in the development of documents used in the initiation and close out of all project scope.

Minimum education required of the position
BS Degree in Accounting, Buisness, Finance, Engineering or other scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or Equivalent Experience.

Minimum experience required of the position

Technical Specialist III - 4 years relevant experience w/degree.  8 years relavent experience w/o degree.

Technicial Specialist IV - 6 years relavent experience w/degree.  12 years relavent experience w/o degree.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Candidate must have extensive experience developing complex cost reporting using a variety of tools.  Candidate must have a high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and the remainder of the MS Office suite.  Candidate must have the ability to gain a broad knowledge of and experience with Entergy’s accounting and transaction processing systems, and be able to interface with accounting and finance staff regarding accounting treatment.  Candidate must have skills and experience in querying data from the COGNOS data bases and other Entergy data sources.
