Job Title: Analyst-Environmental III-Sr. Lead (AIR SME)

Job Summary/Purpose

Seeking an individual with experience in air permitting and compliance matters related to utility operations across Entergy’s enterprise, including Power Delivery, Power Generation, and Nuclear. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as an Air Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Centralized Environmental Services team, supporting operations across Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Working knowledge of Texas air regulations and permitting desired.  The incumbent will work closely with Environmental Operations and facility personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure continuous compliance with applicable Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements, track environmental regulatory developments, completing both routine permitting renewals and off-cycle permit modifications, and assisting in the preparation and submittal of reporting requirements.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Air Program SME within the Centralized Environmental Services team, providing guidance and support across Power Delivery, Power Generation, and Nuclear business functions in coordination with Environmental Operations teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between Entergy and agency staff, including but not limited to U.S. EPA, ADEQ, LDEQ, and MDEQ, on air related matters.
  • Prepare and submit appropriate air permit applications for Entergy’s Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi operations, including but not limited to Title V and New Source Review renewals. 
  • Perform New Source Review and New Source Performance Standards applicability analysis for projects at existing facilities.
  • Review and/or prepare required air regulatory reports, including but not limited to Annual Compliance Certifications, Semi-Annual Monitoring reports, Excess Emission and Monitor System Performance reports, and Emission Inventories.
  • Perform analysis of data collected by Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) in accordance with Part 60 and Part 75 regulations, coordinating with CEMS SMEs.
  • Monitor environmental laws and regulations for changes that may impact Entergy work practices and assist in developing regulatory compliance strategies. Provide guidance and support to key internal stakeholders regarding environmental issues. Be thoroughly familiar with site specific environmental permits and plans.
  • Work in partnership with Environmental Operational Support team and Environmental Project Services team to assist in ensuring regulatory compliance, identify potential compliance risks and develop risk mitigation plans, as necessary.
  • Draft and distribute concise, timely and accurate written communications, review routine reports and interface with state/federal agencies on Entergy’s behalf to arrive at favorable solutions.
  • Engage with industry groups including, but not limited to, Eddison Electric Institute (EEI), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and ESC User Group.
  • Participate in other environmental duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Manage records and documentation pertaining to compliance programs in accordance with the records retention policy.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Participate as a team member of the Environmental system outage emergency operations and restoration organization for major storm events.
  • Strong Microsoft tool skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
