JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Capital Projects Analyst – Invoice Verification supports New Generation projects in all stages of development or execution. Responsibilities will include validating and processing invoices, monitoring contract amounts, and contributing data to monthly reporting cycles.
This role reports to the Manager of Project Controls (Cost) and supports cost analysts, project managers, construction managers, contract managers, and senior management.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Invoice processing for EPC contractors and service providers. This includes verifying invoices for accuracy and code block, approval routing and payment processing.
- Uses Maximo to retrieve and validate invoices. Interfaces with the project team and external partners as needed for invoice processing.
- Supports cost analysts with monthly and ad hoc reporting.
- Exhibits excellent documentation and organization skills.
- Maintains SharePoint, calendar, meeting notes, and training materials.
- Demonstrates commitment to safety through active participation in safety meetings, safety inspections and field observations where applicable.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Required for the Position
- B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, Construction Management or applicable course of study or equivalent work experience.
- Desired: MBA or other advanced degree.
Minimum experience required of the position.

Analyst I: 0-3 years of mega-project experience.

Analyst II.: At least 3 years of mega-project experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position.
- Invoice verification / analysis experience with an owner or contractor.
- Understanding of commercial agreements and contracting strategies
- Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Maximo, Power BI, Cognos and Power Plan
Desired:
Knowledge of Entergy financial and accounting systems and processes.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position.
