JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

As a service delivery manager for IT Digital Development, this position will have responsibly for building and supporting customer-facing digital applications at Entergy. The position will lead the team in developing strategic roadmaps, successfully executing projects to build and improve digital channels, and providing excellent operational support for existing solutions.  The role is responsible for delivering assigned projects on time, on budget, with first time quality, and adherence to business requirements while standardizing/rationalizing technical platforms, as well as operational ownership of the day-to-day support activities.  This position must also develop a strong partnering relationship with key business stakeholders, product owners, and other service delivery managers within IT.

 

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of functional and technical resources to deliver strategic roadmaps, development projects, and hands-on application support for digital applications;
  • Actively manage supporting vendor partner(s) to ensure they are meeting stated services levels (requirements & quality) and aligning to Entergy stated standards (e.g., security, architecture, quality).
  • Lead support for complex technical issues and initiatives related to technology stacks including Salesforce and native iOS/Android mobile apps;
  • Drive for excellence in support processes, including daily operations, critical production issues, planned outage and deployment cycles, DevOpsSec and diagnostic toolsets, and on-call procedures;
  • Review planned changes for risk to production systems;
  • Recommend process improvements by analyzing performance trends and by understanding quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas;
  • Serve as business relationship manager to key business partners / stakeholders;
  • Manage budget for projects and support agreements with a focus on cost savings while providing expected levels of support and capabilities.  Forecast Operational and Maintenance (O&M) budget needs and manage allocated budgets;
  • Ensure compliance with all project deployment methodologies, internal standards, SOX controls, security policies, and operational guidelines;
  • Provide resource planning and management within assigned applications projects. Forecast potential bottlenecks or gaps based on future demand expectations. Serve as contract manager for vendor service engagements, including contract definition, invoice verification / approval, performance management, vendor management, and contract change control.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of managing application development and/or operational processes.
  • 5+ years of application production support experience

 

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience with customer-facing applications
  • 3+ year of Salesforce experience
  • 1+ years of experience supporting native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
  • Agile experience

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Strong working knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies, demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, experience in project delivery in highly outsourced environments, and in depth knowledge of multiple technologies aligned with IT standards.  Highly skilled in communicating up, down, and across the organization.
