JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
This analyst role sits within Entergy’s Chief Security Officer (CSO) organization and supports the company’s NERC Reliability (CIP and O&P) compliance and security programs. This role collaborates across business units as a second line of defense function to help maintain Entergy’s security and reliability posture while ensuring compliance obligations are met.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support regulator‑facing activities, including preparation of self‑reporting packages, mitigation plans, and documentation for enforcement processes
- Contribute to end‑to‑end readiness efforts for NERC regulatory audits, including gathering evidence, coordinating SMEs, validating documentation, and supporting briefings
- Maintain and improve compliance processes, policies, procedures, and controls aligned to NERC CIP and O&P requirements
- Develop and maintain CSO dashboards, metrics, and KPIs
- Provide project management for governance and oversight activities such as NERC Standards implementation, reportability reviews, internal assessments, self-certifications, GRC administration, and SERC registrations
- Compile and integrate data from multiple sources to support timely reporting to internal leaders and external stakeholders
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum experience required:
4 + years of relevant experience in compliance, security, regulatory support, auditing, or similar operational programs
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Working knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards (CIP and/or O&P) and security practices
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills; ability to explain technical or compliance concepts clearly
- Demonstrated collaboration skills supporting cross‑functional teams and multiple concurrent workstreams
- Proficiency with GRC and analytics platforms (e.g., Archer GRC, Power BI) and database/automation concepts
- Solid problem‑solving skills, with the ability to conduct root‑cause and condition analysis
Preferred experience and qualifications:
- Hands‑on experience supporting regulatory audits, self‑certifications, self‑reports, or mitigation plan documentation
- Exposure to cyber or physical security systems and processes aligned to NERC CIP requirements
- Experience with bulk electric system reliability, planning, or operations aligned to NERC O&P requirements
